Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and can shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to fulfill the subsequent criteria:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house that has a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined house profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the proper Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or intend to research at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have website to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of nsfas status their application.
